Marketing Product Marketing Associate, Rewards at Sezzle

Develops go-to-market strategy and execution for Sezzle's product portfolio, conducting user research and partnering cross-functionally to drive product growth and conversions.

Junior Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Sezzle:

With a mission to financially empower the next generation, Sezzle is revolutionizing the shopping experience beyond payments, blending cutting-edge tech with seamless, interest-free installment plans that make shopping smarter and more accessible. We’re not just transforming payments; we’re redefining how people discover, interact with, and purchase the things they love while driving real impact on merchant sales through increased conversions and higher order values. As we continue to shape the future of fintech and retail, we’re building an innovative, dynamic team passionate about creating more than just a transaction but a truly unique shopping journey. If you’re excited about pushing boundaries in tech and delivering a game-changing experience for consumers and merchants alike, come join us at Sezzle and help create the future of shopping!

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Marketing Associate to join a small, hands-on Product Marketing team that owns growth strategy and go-to-market execution across Sezzle’s shopper-facing product ecosystem, spanning financial products to engagement and rewards. The team is lean by design: every product marketer owns a real portfolio from day one, works directly with the data, and partners daily with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing Communications to turn research into shipped, measurable growth.

Overall category strategy is set in partnership with the Head of Product Marketing; you’ll own how that strategy comes to life for each individual product in your portfolio, from discovery through launch, optimization, and iteration. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values structured thinking, and is excited to take ownership of meaningful product initiatives. While this role is aligned to a defined group of products, prioritization is driven by company-level goals and key performance metrics, not equal attention across every surface. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to continuously assess where Product Marketing efforts will have the greatest impact and dynamically allocate time and resources accordingly — meaning some products or initiatives may require deeper focus at different points in time.

The salary range for this role is $2.000 - $2.900 per month (Gross in USD)

What You’ll Do

Insight Generation & Research

  • Partner in conducting user research (surveys, user testing, etc,) and own the analysis, turning results into clear, actionable insight
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative user data to surface patterns, friction points, and opportunities across your product portfolio within Earn and rewards
  • Bring a genuine Gen Z consumer perspective to how we frame problems, develop messaging, and evaluate product experiences
  • Use AI tools to accelerate insight generation and sharpen the inputs that shape growth strategy and marketing plans

Strategy & Execution

  • Own product marketing for your assigned products, both new and existing, supporting the full lifecycle: Discover & Validate, Shape & Plan, Launch & Learn, Optimize & Scale
  • Translate overall Earn and rewards category strategy into product-specific positioning and messaging, grounded in behavioral data and user research
  • Develop and execute GTM plans across in-app surfaces, lifecycle messaging, and marketing channels
  • Monitor adoption and engagement post-launch, flagging risks and identifying iteration opportunities
  • Treat everything as a test. Whether you’re launching something new or optimizing something existing, you should always be designing for learning, monitoring results, and iterating based on what the data tells you

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Marketing Communications on every product you touch. These are your primary partners for testing, launching, and improving
  • Navigate across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Data, Design, and Marketing to move work forward
  • Adapt priorities quickly as business needs shift
  • Contribute to team documentation so insights and learnings can be shared across teams

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–2 years of experience in Product Marketing, Growth, Consumer Research, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with qualitative feedback, behavioral data, and survey results
  • Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can turn complexity into a sharp insight or recommendation
  • Curious about AI tools and eager to use them to work smarter. Bonus if you’re already using them regularly

Nice to Have

  • Consumer-facing or mobile product experience
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies, NPS analysis, or customer interview programs
  • Experience with lifecycle messaging, in-product copy, or Braze (or similar)
  • Background in fintech, subscriptions, or marketplace businesses

About You:

  • You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.
  • You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things
  • You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.
  • You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.
  • You have backbone; disagree, then commit- you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly.
  • You deliver results- you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle.

What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:

At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire.

Marketing Product Marketing Associate, Rewards at Sezzle

Develops go-to-market strategy and executes product launches for Sezzle's shopper-facing products, partnering with product, design, and data teams to drive growth and optimize performance.

About You:
